Native from Ronco north of Ascona, born in Locarno, now living and working in Minusio.
He developed his passion for painting as a scholar of several artists from Ticino (Fernando Pozzi, Fausto Corda, Marco Gurtner and Manlio Monti).
After a few years of figurative painting, during 1996 he began to learn towards abstract painting which went through several phases. He is accompanied and sustained by his friend, the painter Fausto Leoni.

His works can be seen permanently at the “Cairo Gallery” at Lugano, Corso Elvezia 7.
His approach to art was always guided more towards colour than drawing. So there never are defined forms to be seen in his paintings, but ranges of unlimited colours.
Instead of specific classes on theory of colours he prefers to read, with pleasure over and over again, Johannes Ittens book “Art of colour”.
To achieve this maturity, he went through drawing and painting landscapes, still-lifes and
human figures.
He let flow everything possible with calm and in a natural way to avoid getting into abstract painting by force. He waited until he felt it completely in himself.
Up to that moment he transfers our wonderful nature, his fantasy and his feelings onto the canvas. It’s all in the paintings exhibited in his shows, the same paintings that give him much joy and, hopefully, provide you pleasure as well!
